ZT POUNDED some turkey, ham, dressing, butter beans, peas, 3 different casseroles and still made room for some Pecan Pie!! “Extra Room” courtesy of a pair of Russell Athletic ( although ZT would question the Athletic part in this particular application! ) 1989 grey sweat pants with lots of elastic and no drawstring after 31 years of use.

Got a few Friday match-ups worth prognosticating so here we go:
#13 Iowa State Cyclones vs #17 Texas Longhorns
Cyclones blew away K State while the Longhorns were kept in the pen last week. Tight 4-team race in the Big 12 adding in the 2 Okies. ISU HC Matt Campbell has the attention of the AD’s looking for a new one while TX HC Tom Herman has been on the hot seat more than a guy with acute diarrhea is on the commode. Longhorns have been off 3 weeks so rust is a factor. Cyclones control their destiny and ZT loves RB Breece “I hate the Mall” Hall who is averaging over 6 yds. per carry & 15 TD’s. Oh yea, he also has 130+ in last seven games. Texas D has been solid against the run while the Offense will stake their fortunes on QB Sam Ehlinger. His completion rate ain’t great at 58.8 (ZT in the rhyme zone again..) but is 22 to 5 in TDs vs. INTs. ZT going with the big wind in a very close one! Cyclones 31 Longhorns 30
#2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs #19 UNC Tar Heels
Irish handled the BC game nicely after the win over then #1 Clemson. Irish QB Ian Book has played well and ND only has Syracuse and Wake left on schedule so NO distractions ahead. Tar Heels MAY have been looking ahead as they had to rally to beat Wake in the 4th quarter but they got it done. UNC QB Sam Howell and RB Javonte Williams are solid and HC Mack Brown has seen plenty of big games in his career.. Even though minimal fans, it is in Chapel Hill so no TD Jesus for extra influence. ZT sees ND Defense as too much for UNC. That said, common knowledge the Pope likes sports and he is not about to let the Irish fail here. Irish 35 Tar Heels 24
#15 Oregon Ducks vs. Oregon State Beavers
So 3-0 on the last week of November and 1/2 way point of the Punk-12 Season…….Ok, that ship has sailed complaining about the late, mini-6 schedule but the 1st official rankings showed ZT is not alone in his disdain for it. The Civil War ( oh yea, they dropped that tag this summer… ) as it ONCE was called, has the Ducks looking to make it 12 out the last 13. Ducks QB Tyler Shough proved he can pass in the UCLA game throwing for over 300 yards, 3 TDs, and NO INTs!! Beaver HD Jonathan Smith has this team playing for 60 minutes and they do have a solid RB in Jermar “I know where my sperm are” Jefferson. That’s good because QB Tristan Gebbia has been average so far. ZT always likes to see a happy beaver but… Ducks 42 Beavers 24
ZT headed back to the table with the pie and planning to order these to give new meaning to the phrase ” I got the meat sweats!”

ZT and Padre plan to be back for Saturday…..
