ZT and Padre working hard on prognostications for the REAL start of College Football as Labor Day Weekend is approaching. Lots of great games and got some interesting match-ups on Thursday ( 16 games ) and Friday evening (8 games ) so let’s get to it!!
Thursday Night
Boise State Broncos vs. Central Florida Knights
New Bronco HC Avalos has a solid Offense and veteran Defense to work with. The Gus Bus took I-75 down to Orlando ( The Auburn fans even gave him a set of tires and a membership to AAA just to make sure he no reason to return ) and the Knights are pretty excited. Gus has QB Dillon “angel” Gabriel who only threw for 3500 yards and 32 TDs with ONLY 4 picks in 2020. This game will average over 1 point per minute and ZT believes this one could come down to the last series. Make sure you hit the restroom with about 6 minutes to go. If you plan to make a drinking game for each score, have 2 bottles available… ZT likes the Knights to get Gus a season opening win. Knights 45 Broncos 31
#4 THE Ohio State Buckeyes vs Minnesota Golden Gophers
This one is pretty easy for ZT to call. Minnesota is wearing “special uniforms”. You all know ZT HATES these type of carnival moves. Gophers, still led by PJ Fleck, should be more juiced up to kick off 2021 against OSU than a MLB baseball! For Minnesota, probably only good for 2-3 series then reality will kick in. ZT’s favorite Buckeyes WR Chris “I love to shoot agave” Olave and RB “Grand” Master Teague will help open this one up by the 2nd half. New Redshirt QB CJ Stroud will get it together quickly with these assets and more on his side. Expect the Buckeyes to eat time on the clock like ZT working the dessert at a cheap Las Vegas Casino buffet. Gophers should win 7 games this year but this won’t be one of them! Bowling Green Falcons vs Tennessee Volunteers
0-5 Falcons vs. 3-7 Vols. Why? ZT Why? Because that was Jeremy “Snitch” Pruitt’s Vols ( he is now an assistant with the NY Giants after all his efforts to turn in SEC foes to the NCAA on bogus claims was as much a failure as his last season with the Vols ). New Vols HC Josh Heupel happy to have BG as the opener noting the Falcons were last in the MAC in both scoring offense and scoring defense. Expect Michigan transfer Joe Milton to get the start at QB but expect to see Va.Tech transfer Henson “I never kissed a” Hooker and Soph. Harrison “Harry” Bailey get snaps as they punish Bowling Green. Under/Over on the number of Peyton Manning camera shots is 42. VOLS 48 Falcons 14
Friday Night
#10 UNC Tar Heels vs. Va Tech Hokies
Are the Tar Heels a “reload and go” team? They need to be after placing 2 WRs and 2 RBs in the NFL. QB Sam Howell is good, really good. Mac Brown, who just turned 70 and begins his 33rd year as a FBS Head Coach has more fire in his belly than ZT after eating spicy queso at Nacho Daddy’s restaurant. Hokies should have a good offense but just hard to get excited about a QB named Burmeister which means Master Farmer in German ( did ZT really know this?..he has been to the Hofbrauhaus in Munchen and watched a guy from Japan chug a beer standing on his head so just maybe he does… ). More pressure on UNC and Blacksburg still not the easiest place to play. ZT concerned about inexperience on the Hokie defense and if HC Fuente is the guy to really get it done as successor to Beamer Ball. Close one but… Tar Heels 34 Hokies 31

The Piedmont Padre is heading to watch this one LIVE AND IN-PERSON with the old man-but the Turkeys are simply no match for Super Sam and the Mighty Tobaccoians.
