Ahhhh. The big game up North. This game is like that perfect temperature sweet potato casserole. Yum!! But get it right away, because it goes cold quickly and then loses its charm. Meaning, this game may be good for a little while, then reality will settle in at the Big House. Bucky ultimately rolls.
Bama 45 Auburn 23
The great Iron Bowl. In some past years, this game would have been the big turkey that is perfectly cooked. Norman Rockwell painted it and all is well in ‘Merica!! But its 2021 and Auburn is not that good. So this game just became the green bean casserole that you are not sure what all is in it. You contemplate putting some on your plate, but do you waste that limited plate space?? Is it worth it?? Look at the rest of the table. Will this be something you actually want?? In the end, you get a small sample so you don’t offend your great aunt who made it. You eat a little bit, but when dinner is over, you ultimately cover most of it with your napkin so people think you ate it all. Bama rolls.

Okie State is favored. Yet, Oklahoma ALWAYS wins Bedlam. This game is like those rolls you say you’re not going to eat more than one of before the meal. “Not this year!” Oh, but deep in your heart you know you will have two, or three, or six. Just like you know that somehow Oklahoma will win this game. It doesn’t matter what you say-it’s inevitable ( like Thanos ).

This game is like that third helping of leftovers. You just don’t think you have anymore room in your belly, but that chocolate pie looks soooo good. So you make it happen – because it’s Thanksgiving Weekend, dadgummit!! Well, it’s Ed’s last home game in Baton Rouge. His boys find just enough room for that W!!

This may be one of the most fitting names for 2021. Winner in solid position, assuming a W in the Big 10 Championship which one should NOT assume ( nice way to confuse the readers ZT! ), for a CFP spot. Buckeyes lost their opener to Oregon but haven’t looked back while the Wolverines lost to in-state rival Sparty but bounced back with 3 straight Ws. FSU Seminoles vs. Florida Gators 11am – The Sunshine Showdown
Get this one out of the way early! Interim HC Greg “Fort” Knox will lead the Gators into this one against a Seminole squad that is finding some firmer footing with wins over Miami and BC in the last 2 weeks. ZT noted an ESPN 300 DL committed to UF AFTER Mullen was fired. Maybe song is wrong and their is “sunshine when he’s gone!” Sadly, won’t be any sunshine today for the Gators. Seminoles 34 Gators 27

Believe they are now playing for the Pepper-Sprayed Protester Trophy as they also succumbed to PETA who felt this was too much pressure on the Platypus to be forced into a competitive environment without consent. Battle of the 10-year HC contract extensions…..based on the amount of the contracts, assume both schools taking out mortgages on the land so understand the trophy will be held in escrow. This is the Iron Bowl and one simply doesn’t make the home team a 3-score underdog!! ZT notes Bama DBs bump into each other more than Black Friday shoppers at Wal-Mart! May help the Tigers find some rhythm for QB TJ Finley and K Ben Patton after a loss to South Carolina as they are filling in for the injured QBNix/KCarlson. Tigers have the best record vs. Saban in the SEC and are 10-5 when the game is played at Auburn. Bama CANNOT have even 1 look ahead to the SEC championship game. Period. Webster defines Bedlam as: a scene of madness, chaos, or great confusion. Know that is at least true for OU as they fully expected to be in the CFP talk but those turned to whispers after the loss to Baylor and tight win over ISU. Oddly, Ok. State ( 2nd definition of Bedlam is an institution for the care of mentally ill people and that is a good fit for Stillwater ) is also 10-1 but been drilling everyone in sight since a late October loss to ISU. #8 Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs Stanford Cardinal 7pm – Battle for the Legends Trophy
ZT was in KS 2 weeks ago and there is a bust of Knute Rockne & a plaque in a fuel stop on the Kansas Turnpike near Bazaar, KS as a memorial for the unfortunate plane crash that included the famous ND coach and 7 others in 1931. It is history but is this the best you got KS?? ZT does believe Rockne was one greatest coaches ever but not a very uplifting rest stop display when one is about to merge back onto a highway to drive 80+ mph en route to an airport to catch a flight home. Good news for ND? Stanford is on a 6 game slide after upsetting Oregon on October 2……the main accomplishment of the Cardinal this year? Helping other teams become bowl eligible.
