Pretty Simple….LSU wins and Ole Miss loses, HC Brian “I did use onions to force a tear after the Bama game” Kelly has returned the tigers back to TIGAH status and ZT recognizes it. Jayden “Flag Football” Daniels was solid vs. Bama and ZT likes him a lot. Hard not to like TE Taylor who is son of Dolphin standout Jason Taylor (OK ZT, this is CFB and NFL – we all know you are a ‘Phins fan). Ark’s HC Sam Pittman looked like he fed the team a 6-pack BEFORE the Liberty game. Keys to this game: 1) LSU got a hangover from last week’s win? 2) early time for the Cajuns to play who like it at night? 3) Hogs able to rebound, at home, from being BBQ’d by the Flames last week? A fun game to watch! GameDay should have chosen NOLA this week vs. the stockyards of Ft. Worth but they didn’t ask ZT (nor do most people). ZT also loves the competition in the AAC ( no you east coasters, not the ACC, the AAC ) and this game is critical for that and a line on a New Years bowl game possibly. UCF needs QB John Rhys Plumlee but Mikey “your so fine” Keene is a very capable back up (technical foul on ZT for referencing a Toni Basil song on a football blog and he pronounces it like the kid of Life Cereal anyway….almost an ejection!). Solid WRs and RBs that can catch the ball. Green Wave QB Michael Pratt has 19 TDs with just 4 INTs & 6 players with over 200 yds. receiving. RB Tyjae “I love asparagus” Spears is solid. Both squads have solid defensive units but think the Gus Bus leadership is more prepared for a game like this than HC Fritz from Tulane. Close one and like better to watch than Bama/Ole Miss. Well…..How will the Tide respond (2nd time asking this in less than a month!). Bama Fans….breathe!!! Saban knows how to make adjustments and despises losing so it will happen. QB Young looked rusty with more shoulder rehab than practice the last few weeks, WRs average this year at best, etc. etc. Land Sharks are smelling blood on the turf and are still in the SEC playoff mix with a win this week. Reality is Ole Miss defense isn’t great. Reality is Bama is not disciplined ( most penalties per game in Div 1). Reality is 6 of last 8 Bama Road games were 1 score games. BO NIX for HEISMAN!! Ok, maybe just a free trip to NY but the guy is playing lights out!! He is averaging over 4 to 1 TDS to INTs!! Huskies with a nice road W over the Beavers (distracted but the Beaver Moon on 11/8??? ) UW QB Michael “Buble’ ” Penix, Jr. (too early for a Christmas reference ZT!) is playing well and will be the Ducks biggest defensive challenge since they played Georgia in the opener. Huskies actually are the #1 passing offense in CFB and 9th in total Offense. Must have production from the RBs to have a chance to upset the Ducks, who are on a 23 game home winning streak. Expect a more than full house in Austin this weekend. Not because GameDay or #4 TCU is in town but because UT President is requiring all students not attending the game to go to a Beto O’Rourke post election event. Word is even Beto’s family and preacher are going to the game instead. TCU must win to stay in…fair or not, that is the deal. Texas is still in the hunt for a B12 title shot. Sonny Dykes has the Frogs scoring over 43 PPG while Longhorns D is allowing just over 21 PPG. Texas RB Bijan Robinson was da Man last week vs. K State rushing for over 200 yds. Expect HC Sark to go deep early to open up the running attack and pressure a softer TCU secondary. TCU has proven to be the come back kids coming from behind 4 times in the 2nd half this year.
