CFB 2024 ARMY vs NAVY

In most years, this was a game to watch because it was the last regular season game of the year. Also, watching the closest thing left to “good ol college football” and the enjoyment of watching the Cadets and Midshipmen in the crowd. Well, this ain’t most years as we have 11-1 and AAC Champion Army vs. 8-3 Navy.

Before we get started, Congratulations to Bill Belichick!!!!

In other news….he will be the new Head Coach at UNC.

Prognostication Accountability Padre 81-47 ZT 78-45

Padre still in the lead…..so much for your “brain food” ZT!

Padre is currently considering all his “military options” with the turmoil in College Football. Can be challenging to assess the closest game to pure college football ( no NIL, no transfer portal, no early redshirt for not playing enough, etc. ) so taking extra time today on this one!

Padre Prognostication Update 11:10am

No Commentary. God Bless America!! Navy gets the upset. 20-17

ZT has been all over the place…most recently to KC ( heard ZT was so tight he was hoping to see Taylor Swift without paying to go to the ERAs tour…..).

ZT working hard on a balanced diet of Beef, Pork, and Lamb….

Bottom line, ZT says SMU ( or Miami or Bama, had they been there ) should have been on hold until the outcome of this one noting an Army victory puts them at 12-1 with only a loss to Notre Dame ( nice effort ZT to support something that can never be disproved as it ain’t happening……you an economic theorist by your day job? ).

Uniforms Commentary – Screaming Eagles for Army in honor of the 101st airborne and D-Day vs. the Jolly Rogers for Navy and the 1943 Corsair…. Interesting “air tribute” by both since these teams are ranked #1 ( Army ) and #3 ( Navy ) nationally in rushing. Challenge here is the difference on defense…. Army is the #11 run defense and Navy ranked #85. Note: Navy leading rusher QB Blake Horvath is banged up but expected to suit up in this one. Will note Navy has a bit better passing attack but that’s about like saying Uncle Rico is a better passer than Pedro ( ZT, only you think Napoleon Dynamite was a sports movie! ).

Most recent common opponent? 9-4 Tulane whom Army pounded 35-14 on 12/6 and Navy was capsized by the Green Wave 35 -0 in their “home port” on 11/16. HMMM….

Last “back to back” was Army in 2017-18…..they will do it with a ground attack more lethal than the water-based team from Annapolis…. Army. 24 Navy 17

ZT out but back next week for CFP 1st Round prognostications!!
