Good News!! ZT not aware of anyone with Army or Navy entering the portal…..where would they go? Air Force? Think the Coast Guard only has a fishing team so maybe could do that like that terrible ND QB back up at Bama who entered the portal to go back to ND to play Lacrosse……Ok, its the Christmas Season so ZT will be nice…
ZT was on the west coast and assumes since he ate healthier all week ( pretty low bar for ZT ) and could find nothing to clog an artery, his powers of prognostication could be improved ( another low bar ZT! ) and actually make sense of this game. Expect less scoring at this one than at a Microsoft Programmer’s Convention ( ok ZT, that’s a different type of scoring but we get it! ). Vegas expecting no more than 28 points as of late Friday….. Good news is the winter storm moving into the area likely not arriving until after the game so may help the offenses a bit.
Army has a chance at the Commander-in-Chief trophy with a W noting they have also beaten Air Force as we prepare for the 124th version of this game. This one being played at Gillette Stadium ( home of the Patriots so hopefully none of those bad vibes rub off on either team or the the cadets in the stands!! ) and expect it to be a grinder. Between the 2 QBs, they have a combined total of 10 Passing TDs coupled with 8 INTs….no wonder they both prefer to run. Note Navy’s top rusher is a FULL BACK!!! ZT hasn’t seen one of those since Larry Csonka!!
The stat ZT is laser-focused on ( ok, been reading too many business articles on planes so that phrase just rolled out..) is turnovers. Army has 11 INTs thrown and 11 lost fumbles while Navy has 4 INTs and 7 lost fumbles. In a low scoring game, 1 turnover can be the difference. ZT does note Army has played better ball down the stretch with 3 straight wins including Ws over bowl bound Air Force and Coastal Carolina. Navy was torpedoed by SMU 59-14 in their last game after squeaking by E.C. YEW and U. A. B..”we ain’t that Bama” Blazers.
ZT says forget logic in this rivalry as 7 of the last 9 games were decided by 1 score and the last time more than 40 points were scored in the game? 2013 and the total scored was 41! So, back to the turn over margin and ZT says Navy will make the turnover this time as they have not used FlexSeal tape to patch up the hole in their boat! Black Knights 16 You Sunk My Battleship 13
ZT out till New Year’s Day games as very few teams playing before the CFP will be at full strength between coaching changes, transfer portal commits and “I ain’t risking my knee in the Avocados from Mexico Bowl”….
Padre is in Eastern Europe working with some hackers to prevent more Gator players from being able to enter the portal as well as set up an “auto accept” to UF for any players from Bama, Georgia, or FSU to land in Ganesville.
